Prior to joining the firm, Lacy served her community for 15 years as both a county and federal prosecutor. She began her career in Payson, Arizona working as a Deputy Gila County Attorney. In that role, Lacy prosecuted drug dealers, white collar criminals, sexual predators, and others. She received specialized training and experience prosecuting crimes against children, and she participated on a Multi-Disciplinary Team designed to coordinate the efforts of the various entities providing care to child victims. She participated in drafting child abuse investigation protocols and trained law enforcement and community partners on their implementation. Lacy brings this experience to bear when advising churches and other non-profit organizations.
After leaving Gila County, Lacy worked for eight years in the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona as an Assistant United States Attorney prosecuting gangs, cartels and terrorists. Lacy served as the office’s Border Security Section Chief, Government Ethics Officer, and Anti-Gang Coordinator. Lacy has written numerous appeals and argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on three occasions.
During the course of her career, Lacy has appeared as counsel in nearly 100 trials and countless other hearings. Lacy’s significant experience as a criminal litigator in both state and federal court informs her civil litigation practice.
